Getting to Bentham

The settlements of High & Low Bentham, better known as Bentham, lie on the western edge of North Yorkshire close to the Forest of Bowland, the coastal areas around Morecambe Bay, the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Road Links

From the M6 junction 34, take the A683 signed for Kirkby Lonsdale. After passed though Caton and Claughton, turn right onto the B6480.  Carry on through Wray and Wennington **  PLEASE NOTE. Due to part of the B6480 washing away, there is a diversion signed up Ravensclose. At the first cross road turn right for Low Bentham, At the second crossroads turn right for High Bentham.

The latest info is the B6480 should be open in April. Which one remains to be seen.

From the A65 Skipton to Kendal road, turn left onto the B6480 at Clapham.

Rail Travel
